Belimo R3040-BL4 – diverting ball valve

3-way ball valve for diverting and on/off control on the water side of ventilation and heating systems, in open and closed water circuits. The valve is operated by a rotary actuator controlled by an open/close signal.

Key technical data

• Design: 3-way; L-shaped bore.
• DN 40; Rp 1 1/2" female thread in accordance with ISO 7-1.
• PN 25; ps 1600 kPa; Kvs 47 m³/h.
• Fluid: water, water with up to 50% vol. glycol.
• Fluid temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
• Differential pressure: ∆pmax 350 kPa; closing pressure: 500 kPa. 200 kPa is specified for quiet operation.
• Leakage: bubble-tight, leakage rate A (EN 12266-1).
• Rotation angle: 90°.
• Body made of nickel-plated brass; closing element made of chrome-plated brass; stem made of nickel-plated brass; stem seal: EPDM O-ring; seat: PTFE, EPDM O-ring.

Installation notes

Installation is permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the stem; do not install with the stem pointing downwards. For fluid temperatures of -10...2°C, heating the axis or using a valve neck extension is recommended. The permitted fluid temperature may depend on the actuator type – refer to its product data sheet for limitations.
