Belimo R438 is a 2-way ball valve with a control orifice, DN 40, PN 25, with a G 2 1/4" male thread and Kvs 16 m³/h. Designed for water and water with a maximum of 50% by volume glycol.

The medium temperature is -10...100°C [14...212°F]. The valve has an equal-percentage characteristic and leakage class A.

Belimo R438 – 2-way control valve

Ball valve with a control orifice for controlling flow on the water side of ventilation and heating systems. Designed for open and closed water systems. The integrated orifice provides an equal-percentage characteristic.

  • Differential pressure: ∆pmax 200 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa.
  • Flow characteristic: equal-percentage; permissible leakage: bubble-tight, leakage class A.
  • Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element and stem: stainless steel.
  • Rotation angle: 90°; operating range: 15...90°.

At a medium temperature of -10...2°C, extending the valve neck is recommended. The permissible medium temperature may depend on the actuator type; limitations are specified in the relevant actuator data sheets. Installation is permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the stem, but not with the stem pointing downwards.
