Belimo R448 – technical data

2-way regulating ball valve with a regulating orifice for water-side control in ventilation and heating systems. The product data sheet specifies use in open and closed water systems.

  • Nominal diameter: DN 50; nominal pressure: PN 25.
  • Pipe connection: G 2 3/4" male thread.
  • Kvs: 25 m³/h; flow characteristic: equal percentage.
  • Medium: water, water with a maximum of 50% vol. glycol.
  • Medium temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
  • Differential pressure: ∆pmax 200 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa.
  • Leak-tightness: bubble-tight, leakage class A.
  • Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element and spindle: stainless steel; regulating orifice: ETFE.

Installation instructions

Installation is permitted from the vertical to the horizontal position; installation with the spindle pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body.

At a medium temperature of -10...2°C, extending the valve neck is recommended. The permissible medium temperature may depend on the actuator type; limits are given in the relevant actuator data sheets.
