Microclimate and ventilation controller - maximum load up to 6A

The ELETOR Speed Control SERVOMOTOR series ventilation controller for livestock buildings divided into compartments holding approximately 100 animals ensures an optimal microclimate by continuously ventilating the pig house according to the temperature.

SPEED CONTROL – SERVOMOTOR (SC-S) is a microprocessor-based climate controller for livestock buildings. A special algorithm ensures optimal animal welfare conditions. The temperature reading from the sensor supplied with the set is converted into continuously controlled ventilation (single-phase fans up to 6A), control of air inlet actuators and heaters. The SC-S does not need any additional input-output modules to operate. An exception may be an inverter used with three-phase fans (3~400V), which can be connected to the 0-10V output. The controller is equipped with a livestock building air-refreshing function. If the measured temperature falls below the set temperature, the controller switches to air-refreshing mode. In air-refreshing mode, the controller supplies a programmed amount of air required for the animals' survival in cycles (operating time / pause time).

• continuously adjustable first ventilation group, up to a load of 6A, with soft fan start-up, an anti-icing peak and precise calibration of the “prohibited band”;
• on/off output for switching on a second ventilation group or controlling a heater;
• 0-10V output for controlling power extension modules or inverters, with calibration of voltage ranges and an inversion function (10-0V);
• 0-10V output for air inlet actuators, e.g. EGM-100A, BELIMO, the output has voltage range calibration and an inversion function (10-0V);
• clear text display with an intuitive menu in the following languages: Polish, English, German, Russian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian;
• air-refreshing mode, min./max. fan speed adjustment, temperature sensor calibration;
• output to an alarm control panel with galvanic isolation.

Alarm:

If a fault occurs, the controller will signal an alarm using its internal buzzer and activate the alarm contact, triggering the GSM control panel (Eletor CA-2 GSM) to send an SMS message. The controller signals the following faults:

• loss of supply voltage, voltage that is too low or heavily distorted;
• damage to the temperature sensor or connecting wires;
• exceeding the programmed minimum / maximum temperature thresholds;
• overheating or a controller programme error.

How the ventilation controller works

The main task of the ventilation controller is to maintain the temperature in the livestock building at the level set by the farmer. The resulting microclimate leads to high weight gains in pigs or poultry. Farm animals do not use energy from feed to warm their bodies or, at high temperatures, reduce their feed intake. It should be remembered that the controller is only a tool to help ensure optimal climatic conditions in the livestock building. The farmer, however, plays the primary role in this process and should adjust the device settings according to changing climatic conditions outdoors and, above all, observations of the animals' behaviour.
