Belimo 01ATS-104XC – frost monitor

The device monitors the temperature of water and air heaters in ventilation and air-conditioning systems to prevent damage to cooling coils caused by freezing. The 01ATS-104XC version has a 3 m capillary and manual alarm reset.

• Measuring range and setting range: -10...15°C; factory setting: 5°C.
• Frost alarm signal: SPDT changeover switch.
• Copper capillary, 3 m long.
• Manual reset after the temperature rises.
• Switching differential: 1.5 K (±1 K tolerance); setting accuracy: ±2 K.
• Contact rating: AC 230 V 16 (2.5) A for position 1-2, AC 230 V 2 (0.4) A for position 1-4 and DC 230 V 0.25 A.
• Electrical connection: spring terminal, max. 2.5 mm²; M20x1.5 mm cable gland for cable ø6...12 mm.
• IEC/EN protection rating: IP65.

When the capillary temperature falls below the setpoint over a 150 mm section, circuit 1-2 opens and circuit 1-4 closes. The manual-reset version can be reset after the temperature rises. The ambient temperature at the enclosure must be more than 2 K above the set switching point.
