Belimo R2040-16-S3 – control valve

2-way ball valve with characterised insert for open and closed water systems. Designed for modulating control on the water side of ventilation and heating systems. The integrated insert provides an equal-percentage flow characteristic.

Key features and specifications

  • DN 40, PN 25; Rp 1 1/2" female thread.
  • Kvs: 16 m³/h; ps: 1600 kPa.
  • Medium: water or water with a maximum of 50% by volume glycol.
  • Medium temperature: -10...120°C [14...248°F].
  • Differential pressure: ∆pmax 350 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa. 200 kPa is specified for quiet operation.
  • Flow characteristic: equal-percentage; tightness: bubble-tight, leakage rate class A.
  • Body made of nickel-plated brass; closing element and stem made of stainless steel.
  • Female thread according to ISO 7-1; installation permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the axis, but not with the axis pointing downwards.

At medium temperatures of -10...2°C, stem heating or a valve neck extension is recommended. The permitted medium temperature may depend on the actuator used; restrictions are specified in the actuator data sheets.
