Belimo R525 – changeover ball valve
3-way valve with external thread for open and closed water systems. Designed for changeover and on/off control in the water circuit of ventilation and heating systems.
Key specifications
- Type: R525; DN 25; G 1 1/2" external thread; PN 40.
- Kvs: 26 m³/h; flow through bypass B – AB: approx. 50% of the Kvs value.
- Medium: water, water with up to 50% vol. glycol; drinking water on request.
- Medium temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
- Differential pressure ∆pmax: 400 kPa; closing pressure ∆ps: 1400 kPa. A differential pressure of 200 kPa is specified for quiet operation.
- Tightness A – AB: bubble-tight, leakage rate class A (EN 12266-1); B – AB: leakage rate class I (EN 1349 and EN 60534-4), max. 1% of the Kvs value.
- Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element and stem: stainless steel. Rotation angle: 90°.
Installation notes
The valve can be installed with the stem from vertical to horizontal; installation with the stem pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body. At a medium temperature of -10...2°C, extending the valve neck is recommended. The permitted medium temperature may depend on the actuator type; limitations are specified in the actuator data sheets.
