Belimo R6040R-B3 – 2-way ball valve

Open/close valve for water-side shut-off functions and open/close control in ventilation and heating systems. It is designed for open and closed water systems. Control is provided by a rotary actuator operated by an open/close signal.

Key features and specifications

• Type: 2-way; DN 40; PN 6.
• Pipe connection: flange to EN 1092-1/4.
• Kvs: 31 m³/h.
• Fluid: water, water with up to 50% vol. glycol.
• Fluid temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
• Closing pressure ∆ps: 600 kPa; differential pressure Δpmax: 100 kPa.
• Tightness: bubble-tight, leakage rate class A (EN 12266-1).
• Rotation angle: 90°. The valve opens by turning anticlockwise and closes by turning clockwise.
• Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element: chrome-plated brass; flange for DN 40: aluminium.

Installation notes

Permitted mounting position: from vertical to horizontal relative to the valve axis. Do not install with the axis pointing downwards. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body.

For fluid temperatures of -10...2°C, heating the shaft or extending the valve neck is recommended. The permitted fluid temperature may be limited depending on the actuator type; limitations are stated in the relevant actuator datasheets.
