Belimo R7040R-B3 is a 3-way changeover ball valve with PN 6 flanged connection. DN 40, Kvs 31 m³/h, differential pressure Δpmax 100 kPa and closing pressure 600 kPa.

Designed for closed water systems, for changeover and open/close control on the water side of ventilation and heating systems.

Belimo R7040R-B3 changeover ball valve

3-way valve with PN 6 flanged connection, designed for closed water systems. It is used for changeover and open/close control on the water side of ventilation and heating systems.

Key technical data

  • DN 40; Kvs 31 m³/h; PN 6.
  • Medium: water or water with a maximum of 50% vol. glycol.
  • Medium temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
  • Differential pressure Δpmax 100 kPa; closing pressure 600 kPa.
  • Pipe connection: flange in accordance with EN 1092-1/4.
  • Leakage: A – AB — bubble-tight, leakage rate class A (EN 12266-1); B – AB — leakage rate class I (EN 1349 and EN 60534-4), max. 1% of the Kvs value.
  • Flow through bypass B – AB: approx. 50% of the Kvs value; rotation angle: 90°.
  • Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element: chrome-plated brass; stem: nickel-plated brass. Seat: PTFE and EPDM O-ring; flange for DN 40: aluminium.

Installation instructions

Installation is permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the stem; installation with the stem pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body. At a medium temperature of -10...2°C, stem heating or an extended valve neck is recommended. The permitted medium temperature range may depend on the actuator used.
