When the power supply fails, the spring moves the valve to the closed position (NC). Running time to the safety position is <25 s / 90°.

Belimo TRF24-2 – rotary actuator for ball valves

During operation, the actuator moves the valve and tensions the return spring. When the power supply is interrupted, the spring moves the valve to the safety position: closed (NC).
