Belimo X8042M.3BAA3 – expansion valve

A tight-closing, two-way expansion valve for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. The body is made of CW617N brass, and the closing element of AISI 316L stainless steel.

• Kvs 8 m³/h; connection: female ODF solder sleeve 42-42 mm; PN 50.
• Suitable for A3 safety-class refrigerants (ISO 817) and CFC, HFC, HFO and R290 refrigerants.
• AC/DC 24 V supply; power consumption during operation 1.5 W; wire-sizing power 2.6 VA.
• Control: bipolar stepper motor signals (4 wires) from a superheat controller; MP-Bus communication; configuration via smartphone with the xBALL Syncra app.
• Motor and safety function travel time: 15 s / 90°; safety closing with SuperCap.
• Maximum differential pressure ∆pmax 3500 kPa; permissible operating pressure ps 5000 kPa.
• Medium temperature -20...70°C; with ZCQ-E: 70...120°C. Ambient temperature -30...50°C.
• Tightness: air-bubble tight, leakage rate A (EN 12266-1); equal-percentage flow characteristic (VDI/VDE 2173).
• IEC/EN IP54 degree of protection; IEC/EN protection class III, Safety Extra-Low Voltage (SELV).
• Installation from vertical to horizontal position relative to the stem; the valve is maintenance-free and has a manual override mechanism.
