Thermal energy meter for measuring energy in a closed heating or cooling circuit. Model 22PE-1UD measures flow ultrasonically and temperature; it has automatic glycol content compensation.

DN 20, PN 25, qp 2.5 m³/h, G 1" male thread and AC/DC 24 V power supply. Supports BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, MP-Bus and Cloud.

Belimo 22PE-1UD thermal energy meter

The device determines thermal energy from volumetric flow and the temperature difference between the supply and return in a closed heating or cooling circuit. One temperature sensor is integrated into the flow sensor, while the other is an external sensor.

Key features and specifications

  • Ultrasonic flow measurement; measured values: flow and temperature.
  • DN 20, PN 25, G 1" male-thread connection according to ISO 228-1.
  • Nominal flow qp 2.5 m³/h, maximum qs 5 m³/h and minimum qi 0.025 m³/h.
  • Medium: water or water with up to 60% vol. glycol; automatic glycol content compensation.
  • Nominal power supply AC/DC 24 V; power supply via PoE is possible.
  • Communication: BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, MP-Bus and Cloud. M-Bus requires a G-22PEM-A01 converter.
  • Voltage output: 1 x 0...10 V, 0.5...10 V, 2...10 V.
  • Configuration via Belimo Assistant 2 or the integrated web server; NFC interface.
  • Includes an insulation cover for the DN 15...25 thermal energy meter; according to the documentation, it is not included in the Asia Pacific region.

The device can operate as a heat meter, cooling meter or combined heating and cooling meter. Installation on the supply or return is selected during commissioning; the manufacturer recommends installation on the return.
