Belimo R2050-S4 – on/off ball valve

2-way ball valve for open and closed water systems. It is used for water-side shut-off and on/off control in ventilation and heating systems. The valve is actuated by a rotary actuator controlled by an on/off signal.

Key features and specifications

• Nominal size DN 50; Rp 2" female thread in accordance with ISO 7-1.
• PN 25; Kvs 49 m³/h.
• Fluid: water, water with up to 50% by volume glycol; fluid temperature -10...120°C [14...248°F].
• Maximum differential pressure ∆pmax 1000 kPa; closing pressure ∆ps 1400 kPa. 200 kPa is specified for quiet operation.
• Tightness: bubble-tight, leakage rate class A (EN 12266-1).
• Nickel-plated brass body; stainless steel closing element and shaft; shaft seal: EPDM O-ring; seat: PTFE, EPDM O-ring.
• Rotation angle 90°. Opening is counterclockwise; closing is clockwise.

Installation notes

Installation is permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the axis; installation with the axis pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body. For fluid temperatures of -10...2°C, shaft heating or an extended valve neck is recommended. The permitted fluid temperature may depend on the actuator type; limitations are given in the actuator data sheets.
