Belimo R523 – technical data

3-way control valve with a regulating disc for open and closed water systems. Used for water-side control in ventilation and heating systems.

• Nominal size: DN 25; nominal pressure: PN 40.
• Connection: G 1 1/2" male thread; pipe connection according to ISO 228-1.
• Kvs: 10 m³/h; flow through bypass B – AB: 70% of the Kvs value.
• Fluid: water, water with up to 50% vol. glycol; fluid temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F].
• Differential pressure: ∆pmax 200 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa.
• Flow characteristic: A – AB equal-percentage, B – AB linear.
• Tightness: A – AB bubble-tight, leakage rate class A; B – AB leakage rate class I, 1...2% of the Kvs value.
• Angle of rotation: 90°; operating range A – AB: 15...90°, B – AB: 15...70°.
• Nickel-plated brass body; stainless steel closing element and stem.

Installation notes

Installation is permitted from vertical to horizontal relative to the stem; installation with the stem pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body.

For fluid temperatures of -10...2°C, a valve neck extension is recommended. The permitted fluid temperature may depend on the actuator type; limitations are specified in the relevant actuator data sheets.
