Belimo R538 – 3-way characterised control ball valve

Valve with a regulating insert and male thread, designed for open and closed water systems and modulating control on the water side of ventilation and heating systems.

Key features and specifications

• Design: 3-way, DN 40, PN 25; G 2 1/4" male thread.
• Kvs: 16 m³/h; bypass flow B – AB: 70% of the Kvs value.
• Fluid: water, water with a maximum of 50% by volume glycol.
• Fluid temperature: -10...100°C [14...212°F]. Valve neck extension is recommended at -10...2°C; the permissible temperature may depend on the actuator type.
• Differential pressure: ∆pmax 200 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa.
• Flow characteristic: A – AB equal-percentage, B – AB linear.
• Leakage: A – AB bubble-tight, leakage class A; B – AB leakage class I, 1...2% of the Kvs value.
• Nickel-plated brass body; stainless steel closing element and stem.
• Rotation angle: 90°.

The valve can be installed with the stem from vertical to horizontal. Do not install it with the stem pointing downwards.
