Belimo R2040-S3 is a 2-way open/close ball valve with Rp 1 1/2" female thread. Specifications: DN 40, PN 25, Kvs 31 m³/h and ps 1600 kPa.

Designed for open and closed water systems. Permitted media are water and water with a maximum of 50% vol. glycol, at a temperature of -10...120°C [14...248°F].

Belimo R2040-S3 – open/close ball valve

2-way ball valve with female thread for water-side shut-off and open/close control in ventilation and heating systems. The valve is actuated by a rotary actuator controlled by an open/close signal.

Key technical data

  • Nominal size: DN 40; connection: Rp 1 1/2" female thread in accordance with ISO 7-1.
  • PN 25; ps 1600 kPa; Kvs 31 m³/h.
  • Differential pressure: ∆pmax 1000 kPa; closing pressure: 1400 kPa. 200 kPa is specified for quiet operation.
  • Medium: water, water with a maximum of 50% vol. glycol; medium temperature: -10...120°C [14...248°F].
  • Tightness: bubble-tight, leakage rate class A (EN 12266-1).
  • Body: nickel-plated brass; closing element and stem: stainless steel; stem seal: EPDM O-ring; seat: PTFE, EPDM O-ring.
  • Rotating angle: 90°. Opening is counterclockwise and closing is clockwise.

Installation instructions

Permitted installation position: from vertical to horizontal in relation to the stem; installation with the stem pointing downwards is not permitted. Observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body. For a medium temperature of -10...2°C, stem heating or a valve neck extension is recommended. The permitted medium temperature may depend on the actuator type.
