Emergency power supply with automatic and manual opening of air inlets and outlets. Used to ensure the safety of livestock in the event of a power failure or controller fault. When it detects a fault, the device triggers an alarm and opens the winches to a preset level. Two winches can be connected to the power supply independently. The device is compatible with all controllers and winches controlled by a 0-10V signal. The device has a built-in 24 V UPS buffer power supply with a battery for powering actuators or winches in ventilation systems.

The emergency power supply has 2 channels, which can be configured as follows:

• multi-room pig house - the emergency power supply can serve 2 independent rooms (2 controllers, 2 actuators)
• smaller fattening units - the emergency power supply can serve 1 air inlet actuator and 1 damper actuator (the 0-10V inputs must be bridged)
• large fattening units - the emergency power supply can operate with 2 air inlet actuators on each side of the building (the 0-10V inputs must be bridged)

When using 1 actuator, e.g. EGM-100, EGM-250, SH24ASR200, connected to the power supply, the 0-10V control inputs must be bridged; otherwise, the power supply will trigger an alarm.

The diagram below shows, using colour coding, how to connect two EGM-100 actuators to the emergency power supply and alarm panel.
