Spring-return actuator for fire and smoke dampers in ventilation and air-conditioning systems. AC 230 V power supply, Open/Close control, motor torque 18 Nm and safety function torque 12 Nm.

When the power supply fails, the spring moves the damper to the safety position. The actuator has 2x SPDT, IP54 protection rating and a 12x12 mm form-fit connection with a continuous hollow shaft.

Belimo BF230-2/500 – fire damper actuator

Spring-return actuator designed for 90° fire and smoke dampers in ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The return spring is tensioned while the motor is running; when the power supply is interrupted, it moves the damper to the safety position.

Key features and specifications

  • Power supply: AC 230 V, 50/60 Hz; voltage range AC 198...264 V.
  • Control: Open/Close; motor torque 18 Nm, safety function torque 12 Nm.
  • Motor running time: <120 s / 90°; safety function running time: 16 s @ 20°C.
  • Power consumption during operation: 8 W; in the rest position: 3 W; power for cable sizing: 12.5 VA.
  • Two auxiliary switches, 2x SPDT, with switching points at 5° / 80°.
  • 12x12 mm form-fit connection, continuous hollow shaft; maximum rotation angle 95°.
  • Motor direction selected by L/R mounting; manual repositioning with position stop and mechanical position indicator.
  • Power and control connection: 5 m cable, 2x 0.75 mm² (halogen-free); auxiliary switch connection: 5 m cable, 6x 0.75 mm² (halogen-free).
  • IP54 protection rating; IEC/EN protection class II, reinforced insulation.

Included: hand crank, indicator and protective bag.
