Belimo EP100F+KMP – EPIV valve DN 100
A modulating ball valve with sensor-signal-controlled flow regulation, designed for closed-loop water systems. The unit consists of a ball valve, a measuring tube with flow meter and an actuator. It is used for analogue water-flow regulation in air-handling unit circuits and heating systems.
Key features
- 2-way design, DN 100, flange connection according to EN 1092-2, PN 16.
- V'nom 20 l/s; adjustable V'max 30...100% V'nom.
- Ultrasonic flow measurement and flow regulation independent of pressure changes.
- AC/DC 24 V supply; operating range Y 2...10 V, feedback signal U 2...10 V and MP-Bus interface.
- Fail-safe function: in the event of a power interruption, the actuator moves the valve to the selected safe position using energy stored in capacitors. The safe position can be set within the range 0...100%.
- Medium: water, water with up to 50% vol. glycol; medium temperature -10...120°C [14...248°F].
- Pressure difference ∆pmax 340 kPa; closing pressure ∆ps 690 kPa.
- Equal-percentage flow characteristic (VDI/VDE 2173), with the option to switch to linear (VDI/VDE 2173).
- Permissible leakage: bubble-tight, leakage rate A (EN 12266-1).
Installation notes
The valve can be installed from vertical to horizontal; it must not be installed with the axis pointing downwards. The flow direction must match the arrow on the housing. A straight inlet section of at least 5 x DN is required upstream of the flow sensor.
